Several physicians from Austin PSR wanted to know more about the issues of access to mental health services in the Austin area.  A survey was developed and sent to primary care physicians (Pediatricians, Family Practitioners, Internists, and Ob/Gyns) in Travis County.

Dr. Lisa Doggett has written an article for the TCMS based upon this survey.  We are hoping to present the results to the leadership of TCMS, the Austin Psychiatric Society, the Mayor’s Mental Health Task Force, and members of the Hospital District Board to discuss ways to improve the current situation.
